Carmen Cabrera is a bilingual actress from Madrid, Spain. Her American TV debut was a Guest Star role on Forever, ABC, as Prima Ballerina Eva Selgas, in the episode “Best Foot Forward.” Carmen was awarded Best New Actress 2013, by ACE, the Association of Latin Entertainment Critics of New York, for her portrayal of the Bride, in F. G. Lorca’s Blood Wedding. Carmen graduated in Drama from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts of Madrid (RESAD). She has also trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA), and with SITI Company-Anne Bogart in NYC. Carmen balances a career in film, TV and theatre. She is an enthusiast of nature, books, Jazz & Flamenco music, theatre, film and old town cemeteries. She collects original work from the 20’s and is passionate about Art Deco. Carmen is an accomplished yogi who practices regularly.
We recently interviewed Carlos Cabrera, who leads the Data Science team at about the .Carlos himself joined Patreon in May 2015 after completing an MBA at Stanford’s Graduate of Business. His professional experience includes statistical modeling of natural catastrophe risk, management at a music technology company, and strategy consulting. He also plays the drums for Pomplamoose, the band co-founded by Patreon’s CEO Jack Conte.

Juan Cruz Sepulveda, the historian whose research is the basis of this article, calls Cabrera “a man ahead of his time, who left everything in place for the transformation of his village,” and wonders why none of the many streets that have been built in Puerto del Carmen in the last 60 years have not been named in his honour.
