And since we first spied in “Baywatch” circa 1993, the big business of bigger boobs hasn’t slowed down. But lately, we’ve been hearing more and more about another “job” — the mastopexy, or breast lift.

I knew for a long time that some day I wanted a boob job. I always said I would get one before my wedding, but as time would have it that ended up not working out. (Graduating college the same week as my wedding meant that I was still one poor college student who cringed every time she had to buy gas or food.) I always kept a stash of cash that I deemed my “boob job fund” and slowly but surely it began to add up. I ended up having a breast augmentation (boob job) in 2012, and quickly noticed that for some reason there is a stigma around boob jobs. Any time one of my readers asks me a question about my boobs, they always start off by saying “I’m so sorry to ask” or “don’t feel like you have to answer this!” To be honest, I take it as a compliment when people ask for advice when they are considering a boob job and don’t mind answering questions at all.
