The EP ends with the impossibly dreamy ‘Far Away’, with a lush electronic-synth foundation and swirly beats which give the song a gorgeously cosy feel. Lyrically it talks about a loving and safe relationship, and ties in with the opening track ‘Emergency Exit’ as its polar opposite. Where ‘Emergency Exit’ is pure personal distress that sees Zara declaring “Autopilot’s making me sick…Where the fuck is the emergency exit?”, ‘Far Away’ sees her celebrating the unexpected start of a beautiful, safe relationship. “I don’t like this, not at all / It’s autopilot, got no control….You’re everything I could ever ask for.”

Although she defends her new career pivot in her YouTube address, Zara is overcome with uncertainty. “Moving on to doing OnlyFans and content creation full time… it’s not just a career choice, it feels kind of like a gamble on the direction of my entire life,” she says. “Some days, I wonder if I’m making the right choice.” Despite it all, she drew a clear parallel between her old and new paths. Backing her OnlyFans move, which had so far been a “side project,” Zara extolled how she’d already “been able to make over $1 million,” which helped her pay off her family’s mortgage, buy a car, and avoid taking out student loans. With an investment portfolio, she’ll be buying a house soon.
The Charlotte Rutherford-directed visual drops Larsson into a muddy field with a gang of girls who throw her up into basket tosses and more cheer-inspired moves crafted by choreographer Zoi Tatopoulos. “Have you ever seen a pretty girl get ugly like this?/Messy like this?/Losing her shit?” she asks on the chorus. “Everybody’s tellin’ me to sit there really pretty/But I’m feelin’ like I wanna cause some trouble in the city tonight/Fuck the ladylike, more like crazy-like/Flippin’ tables at the bar, turn the beat up, make it hard/Wanna take it too far, ain’t afraid of night/Fuck the ladylike, more like crazy-like.”
“Pretty Ugly” was written by Zara alongside MNEK, Helena Gao, and Margo Wildman, and produced by Margo XS and MNEK. It fittingly feels made to turn arena grounds into mosh pits. Low-slung electro and iconic ’90s house keys power Zara’s swaggering verses, but the chorus explodes with a confident shout-along hook over a blown-out beat: “Have you ever seen a pretty girl get ugly like this? / Messy like this? / Losing her shit?” It’s an open embrace of “bad” behavior summed up by the line, “Fuck the ladylike, more like crazy-like.”
