Chet Pharies, a former outside linebacker for Texas Tech University and owner of Carpet Tech in Lubbock, claims that an anonymous user on the online forum site Topix.com used his name to post photos allegedly showing Nikki-Dee Ray, former chief meteorologist at KLBK, and make disparaging remarks about Pharies and his personal life in January, the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reported. In a petition filed in a state district court in Lubbock, Pharies vows to reveal the person who posted the photos by subpoenaing Topix.com for the user’s IP address.
