In 2022, finally made the decision to push Liv Morgan to the World Title scene, with the naturally popular babyface winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship following her Money in the Bank win and successful cash-in. Fans have been clamoring for quite some time for WWE to pull the trigger on Morgan, but WWE actually attempted to do this a couple of years back during the horrendous love-triangle feud storyline involving Bobby Lashley, Rusev, and Lana, and safe to say it did absolutely zero favors for Morgan’s career at the time.
In true WWE fashion, the wedding went belly up as the nuptials were interrupted by several individuals, including Lana’s first husband, Lashley’s first wife, Liv Morgan—revealed to have had a romantic relationships with Lana—and Rusev, who exploded out of a large wedding cake.

Thankfully Liv got through her program with Lana rather quickly and won every time in one-on-one situations. She took care of her former Riott Squad member Ruby Riott as well (who by the way is also criminally underused). While that program was too short for my liking, we got another good Liv Morgan promo out of it.
