Kurt Lambert, who committed a series of sex offences against a teenage girl, has been sent to prison for almost five years.
Lambert pleaded guilty to six counts of having sexual activity with a child, three of taking indecent photographs of a child and a further charge of making indecent photographs of a child.
Lambert, 28, and formerly of Maidstone, took images and videos of the abuse on his mobile phone and sent explicit photos of himself to the victim between April 2015 and January 2017, when police were called and Lambert was arrested.
During a police interview he accepted the allegations and admitted there were more than 100 explicit images of the victim on his phone.
Lambert also admitted using instant messaging apps and said he “may have contacted other children” but couldn’t say if he had sent images to anyone other than the victim.
Detective Constable Celia King of Maidstone CID said: “The law is there to protect children until they are old enough and mature enough to make decisions on their own.
“Kurt Lambert has abused trust shown in him in the worst possible way, in order to exploit a child for his own gratification.
“It is entirely correct that he has now faced justice and that the court has imposed measures to reduce the risk of him reoffending in future.
